according to the new york times, a industrial metal plant in china named Sichuan Tengzhong Heavy Industrial Machinery is proposing to buy Hummer from General Motors.

The final price tag is not yet known, as info on the buyer was just released not too long ago today, but there's already speculation on the future of Hummer. with Obama launching the 37mpg standard by 2013, hummer will have to look to foreign markets to make up the majority of its business.

American plants will likely to continue manufacturing Hummers for STHI, as least for the next 2-3 years, securing at least some of the American jobs being outsourced overseas.

I wonder what china will do with their new hummers? :D
